Hey neighbour,
Whether you are looking to dust off your chainmail for foam sword battles in Petersham or planning to eat your way down Great North Road at Ferragosto, this weekend in the Inner West is shaping up to be another big one. Between Tassie wine takeovers, spring garden planning, and live art at the Fish Market, there is plenty to keep your calendar full.
My personal pick for the weekend has to be Medieval Day at the Petersham Bowling Club on Saturday. More on that below.
Enjoy,
Seb
FOAM SWORDS AND MEAD ON TAP

Good people, good friends, the time for merriment and feasting, tourney and treating is almost upon us. Sharpen thy foam blades and polish your armour, oil your chain mail and buff your boots because this Saturday, Petersham Bowling Club will be hosting its very own Medieval Day.
From 10am, you’ll find sword battles, artisans and merchants, meads on tap, Renaissance dancing, spit-roasted meats, knights of the turntables on the decks, juggling, and fire twirling. And if that’s not enough, be sure to dress in your most fitting medieval outfit for the Best Garb Competition at 1:30pm.
If PBC past events are anything to go by, this one’s sure to be a cracker. It’s also suitable for the entire family with $5 entry for adults and $3 for children. Kids aged 2 and under go free.
