Business of the Week
THE INNER WEST FARM THAT’S GIVING BACK

Tucked into Camperdown Commons on the site of a former bowling club, Pocket City Farms grows seasonal vegetables on a quarter-acre plot in the middle of the city and gives a good chunk of it away. Their honesty stall on the Mallet Street verge runs on a simple principle: if you can pay, pay via the QR code; if you can't, take what you need.
Founded in 2016 by Emma Bowen and Michael Zagoridis, the farm operates as a grassroots charity with volunteer sessions every week, where you can get your hands dirty with compost, weeding, planting and propagating. Sign up to volunteer and give back to the community.
