Hey neighbour,

If you're one of the few people I know not lacing up for City2Surf this weekend, boy have I got a treat for you. Sleepy Bloc is teaming up with Kim's Korean Deli for a TGIF warming party at their new Darlinghurst home. UK cult bakery Get Baked is landing at Messinaville with gelato cookie sandwiches. And Itadaki's throwing open its warehouse doors for a sale on Saturday.

Add to that a new bistro with a twist at the Leichhardt bowlo, a winter market, and live music across a stack of local venues. The Inner West is delivering the goods this weekend.

Enjoy,
Seb

SLEEPY BLOC WINTER NIGHTS WARMING PARTY

Sleepy Bloc is marking its official arrival in Darlinghurst with a cosy pop-up alongside local favourite Kim's Korean Deli.

Make your way down to Burton Street from 5pm on Friday for a Quarter Kim with cheese (chargrilled wagyu bulgogi on a milk bun) and Joy Boy espresso onion jam. Perfection. There's also calamansi honey cold foam, plus Sleepy Bloc's usual selection of hot drinks. The icing on top: the Sleepy Bloc team running the show with great tunes playing throughout the night.

TRANSPORT DISRUPTIONS

Public transport disruptions are constantly changing. Below is a guide based on available information at the time of publishing and specifically for impacted transport in the Inner West. Stay up to date at Transport NSW.

THIS WEEKEND:

  • M1 Metro: Saturday 8 August, 4am–9am: No metro services between Tallawong and Sydenham. Buses replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood only. Use trains between Chatswood or Epping and Sydenham.

  • T2 & T3 Inner West Lines: Sunday 9 August: Trains run to a changed timetable and stopping pattern between Leppington and the City, via Granville or Regents Park on the T2, so Ashfield, Croydon, Petersham and Newtown services may be affected.

NEXT WEEK:

  • L1 Dulwich Hill Line: Saturday 15 & Sunday 16 August: No light rail services at all. Replacement buses run between Central and Dulwich Hill, calling at Lewisham, Leichhardt, Lilyfield, Rozelle and Glebe stops.

If you’ve got this far, I appreciate you. Don’t forget to check directly with the venue before heading out, as events can and do change at the last minute.

Also, if you’re ever asked by an event organiser as to how you came to find out about their event, please tell them that you were sent by Under the Flight Path 💚

See you next week,
